play list for the five & dime show aired 24-may-2012 wmse

sorry for the delay in posting this……..things have been a bit hectic as of late……but in a very good way, mind you.    news to follow.    one thing i am excited to tell you about is a recent show that i have booked here in milwaukee.    scheduled in the the seemingly distant future, but it will sneak up on you, so mark your calendars now, is the following:

saturday, july 21st, 2012 at the sugar maple…….chris forsyth, mind over mirrors & black eagle child.

this weeks show opened with a piece from each of these artists, and they will be featured from here on out on the five & dime show while i am at the helm.   would love to see milwaukee really come out in droves for this one.      chris is coming all the way from brooklyn for this one, and will be on the heels of a newly released cd/lp on northern spy records called ‘kenzo deluxe’.   i played a track off of it to open the show……i think it’s one of his strongest releases thus far, haven’t really been able to stop listening to it since he sent me an advance copy.

anyway, like i’ve already said, sure hope to see many of you there……would be nice to show some support for this type of music so that i & others can continue to book shows of this caliber.
